Hello and welcome to my slightly chaotic corner of the internet.
I love books. Buying them, reading them, talking about them and apparently collecting far more of them than I could reasonably hope to read.
The Wonky Bookshelf came about because I wanted somewhere to chat about the books I've been reading without taking the whole thing too seriously. I'm not particularly loyal to one genre. If a book sounds good, I'll give it a go. That means you'll find everything from thrillers and romances to historical fiction, fantasy, mysteries, contemporary fiction and whatever else happens to catch my eye.
You'll find plenty of reviews here, but there will also be general bookish ramblings, recommendations, reading lists and probably the occasional complaint about my ever-growing TBR pile.
I don't love every book I read, and I don't expect to. Reviews here are simply my thoughts as a reader. Sometimes I'll adore the book everyone else seems to hate, and sometimes I'll be scratching my head wondering what everyone else saw in a bestseller.
That's half the fun of reading.
So pull up a chair, ignore the precariously leaning pile of books in the corner, and make yourself at home.
